Reviews for 3.5 LITRE STAINLESS STEEL WHISTLING KETTLE PURPLE Very fast delivery. Really pleased with this kettle, it's bigger than I expected and very solid and sturdy. The 'trigger' opening on the handle is easy to use and means you don't get scalded by steam (as with some other kettles I've tried). Fantastic colour, really stands out in my kitchen, and an excellent price.

UPDATE: Had this for over two months now and have to say the colour deteriorates with use... it's gone all blotchy.
Reviews for 3.5 LITRE STAINLESS STEEL WHISTLING KETTLE PURPLE I didn't like this kettle for three main reasons.
1) The purple coloured paint or laquer is not really suited to being used for a kettle as it is soluble in water - if you rub the kettle with a cold wet cloth the colour comes onto the cloth. It is unlikely to last long. I notice they produce a plain stainless version of this model now which would probably be better.
2) The handle is not as illustrated as a loop, connected to the kettle at each end but just at the spout end. This is just my personal preference - you might like it better.
3) The lid was very tight on my kettle making it difficult to get off for refilling. Filling up through the spout is not easy as the kettle has to be tilted on its side and it is pretty heavy when full.
Despite these shortcomings the kettle is cheap and looks as though it should last quite well, however I decided to try something else. I bought the Prima kettle from east2eden and I must say they were unquestioning and responded very well to my request for return and refund - so praise for east2eden.
