Reviews for Kenwood JK060 Discovery Duo Travel Jug Kettle, 650 Watt, White (Kitchen & Home) I am a cheapskate, so when I wanted a travel kettle I wondered about the price, but very clad I did . I did not realise that the cups and spoons came with it. The kettle is really quiet after running it in and boils quickly (see other reviews), and has a hidden element. The cups really do make a difference as you can pack them inside, they are light and save on weight, and they give a decent size coffee, without burnt hands. We pack the kettle with coffee, tea and sugar sachets and its enough for a weekend.

Some idiot cleaner threw away the cups on our last trip!!! I missed them so much that have just ordered spares as they became so valuable to us.
Reviews for Kenwood JK060 Discovery Duo Travel Jug Kettle, 650 Watt, White (Kitchen & Home) For a travel kettle what did I want?
Compact - yes, Lightweight - yes

Reasonable time to boil - yes. Note the instructions state 5 mins for 240v and nearly 6 mins for 110v. Given the 450ml (0.8 pint for silver surfers) and the 650 watt heating element these times are to be expected from simple physics. First boil took just under 5 mins but the water was room temperature to begin with.

So if you are away on holiday and using bottled water dont use water from the fridge if you want your hot drink in 5 mins!

Cups and spoons - bonus. The cups have no handles but are thick plastic with an even thicker rim at the top. So they don't get 'too hot to hold'. The cups and spoons fit inside the kettle for transport. This leave a small space for a sachet or two of coffee or sugar - but not enough for an instant 'latte' pouch.

    Overall - a 'GOOD' 4* kettle.
Reviews for Kenwood JK060 Discovery Duo Travel Jug Kettle, 650 Watt, White (Kitchen & Home) I'm really pleased with this kettle it's the perfect size for 2, and boils very quickly. The lead isn't too short and it comes with 2 little cups which fit inside the kettle - the cups don't have handles but the plastic is very thick so shouldn't burn your hands. The only downsides are that you can't disconnect the power lead from the kettle and you have to manually change the voltage which is underside the kettle - just twist from 222/240 to 110 voltage.
