I checked kettles for a month before buying this one. It is one of the best I could find that allows temperature control.
Those who claim leak may not be able to read manuals. The manual does clearly state that some water at base is due too physiological reasons and not a leak. This kettle is A1 so far and a real pleasure to use. It is truly super fast.

Minuses: Condensation in tank makes water dial slightly difficult to read.
Steel claim is only true or upper part.
Reviews for Bosch Styline Collection Kettle Twk8633gb, Four Temperature Control Settings, Black And Stainless Steel (Kitchen & Home) I bought this kettle about 3 weeks ago and I have to say I read some of the reviews here and I was a bit sceptical. However, after using it, here's what I think.

The kettle is a standard black colour with a brushed aluminium ring around the top of the kettle and has a soft touch handle. To me it gives it a little bit of a classy image. The base is black with three buttons on the front. Power on/off, temperature control(rocker switch) and keep warm.

You can fill the kettle either through the spout where there is a lime scale filter or through the top of the kettle. The lid of the kettle has a large push button in the centre. Just push it and the lid opens quickly.

The kettle is not particularly fast to boil 1.5 litres of water. I timed it at about 3 minutes and 22 seconds, so it won't set pulses racing. However, this was at the pre set temperature of 100 degrees. But it is adequate for anybody really.

Contrary to some of the poor reviews here, there is no in built lid timer.

After filling & boiling, 5 times out of 10, when I pressed the button on the lid it did nothing when it should have popped open. Even if I left it to cool down, the same thing happened. The seal in the lid seemed to get slightly stuck to the kettle body & the spring was not quite strong enough to release it. Rang Bosch & they said "There is no problem with any of our products". However, I liked the kettle so much, I took it back to Comet where I bought it & got it replaced . I think the new one has a slightly stronger spring & the lid now opens every time. Hopefully it will remain that way. It has 4 temperature settings which is handy for green tea. It beeps when you press the power button & beeps again when it boils. It is well insulated & so not only stays hot longer but boils very fast. In summer, it boils a mug of water in 46 seconds. Also has a stay warm button. Excellent product when it's working properly. Take your choice but make sure the seller has a good & reliable returns policy.
