Reviews for Kenwood SJM270 Polished Metal Kettle (Kitchen & Home) I have had more expensive kettles with lids that pop up using a lever and the lid kept breaking; I didn't need or want pretty lights to tell me when it was boiling - basically I wanted a straightforward, robust design with a pull off lid that would just boil water! This does the job and is sturdy and pleasant looking, and at a good price. I've since bought one for the office, and my colleague has ordered one after using the office one. I wouldn't say it was that noisy, the capacity is generous and it's quick to boil. Highly recommended.
