This new version is so much better, firstly it has a concealed element so it's much easier to clean and descale. Secondly the base is much stronger and the cord can be set to either side for ease of use.

Sizeable capacity, lightweight and PURPLE to add a bit of brightness to the kitchen. The concealed element is a really good idea. Most of UK is hard water so it's easier to clean than other kettles.

Only very minor criticism is that it can be a bit tricky to relocate on the stand so perhaps not ideal for elderly.
