They don't heat up the water hot enough. That is worth repeating... They don't heat up the water hot enough.

If you are making a cup of tea then yes the water goes vaguely brown, but it doesn't have that brewed taste. By the time you've added the milk then you'd better drink it in less than 2 minutes or it'll be luke warm. Instant coffee is the same. I suppose I've gotten used to making a hot tea or coffee from the kettle and drinking it slowly as part of a meal or part of relaxation during a busy day. Suddenly I have to drink the tea within 2 minutes.

Very disappointing. Sent back.

Well the main reason is for me is I dont like waiting around and this meno doesnt hang around. It's fast and reliable .
With electricity prices always going up and most kettles usually using about 3kw heating up any water that your not going to use use is a waste of money. Now I hear you say why not just put the exact amount of water in your normal kettle. Well I rather just fill up this meno right up and not worry if I have put too much water in as I know it will give me the exact amount of water every time. Now Im not saying get rid of your kettle as it has many uses. But this product will save you time and money and of-course it looks great. I'm not saying that your kitchen is poorly lit kitchen but the L.E.D. light provides that bit of extra light needed to see clearly into your cup.

Would definitely not go back to normal kettle!
