Reviews for Russell Hobbs 12911 1.7 L Capacity Jug Kettle in Satin Stainless Steel Finish (Kitchen & Home) I've had this kettle now for 6 months, it boils well and can hold 1.7L of water, not bad for its size. It does take a while and is quite loud, main problems as with All stainless steel kettles or chrome, they ALL look a mess after a few months and no matter how much cleaning you do they remain dirty with water marks that just won't budge, my advice is they may look nice but completely unpractical. Go for a smart plastic kettle or a metal one that isn't silver or chrome.
Reviews for Russell Hobbs 12911 1.7 L Capacity Jug Kettle in Satin Stainless Steel Finish (Kitchen & Home) This is the second Russell Hobbs 12911 that we have owned. I ony replaced the last one as it finally started to not function properly when we'd had a new extension and kitchen fitted and the dust had got into the mechanism. After reading dozens of reviews I couldn't be confident that other makes or models were any better that this one so I bought a simple replacement. It matches our toaster so saved me replacing that too (just for the look in our new kitchen). Its a bit noisy when it boils but other than that I have found it easy to fill, lid fits well, pours well, no leaks (last one worked well for 6 years and would have done longer if I'd moved it away from the plaster dust!). Reasonably priced so better value than many of the other more expensive kettles available.
