Reviews for Dualit 72502 Cream Jug Kettle 1.5 Litre (Kitchen & Home) Good kettle, but after just over 2 years it has died and it isn't possible to replace the element.
Reviews for Dualit 72502 Cream Jug Kettle 1.5 Litre (Kitchen & Home) Although not purchased from Amazon I am compelled to leave a review for this kettle. Having several others over the last 24 months, all going wrong, not boiling, not stopping boiling and one leaking. We decided to get a Dualit kettle, because we had had the same story with toasters then bought a Dualit toaster which has lasted longer and is still going strong (touch wood). So I can recommend the toasters too.
As for this model of kettle, it is much much quieter than the other kettles we have had, although it looks solid and is solid, I was worried it would be heavy when filled with water but it is not as heavy as our old kettle and is a fine weight, being a slim built woman with a wrist problem on the right wrist so can't lift heavy things but find this fine. The view window measurment is in cups, it has cord storage in the base. The main thing I noticed and I am surprised that no-one else has mentioned this is the pouring spout, it is such a good pourer, no drips, no spills, no splashes, it pours beautifully, other kettles we have had, if you tip them up too much the water goes everywhere, and if you didn't tip them up enough the water would dribble down the kettle, I remember with the last kettle everytime I poured it thinking, "now I must try and not get water everywhere" and I usually did. With this model not one drip, no kidding, I was amazed, even my hubby, was like wow what a difference pouring water out of this new kettle and he usually never ever comments on anything to do with domestic appliances.
Reviews for Dualit 72502 Cream Jug Kettle 1.5 Litre (Kitchen & Home) Expensive. You can buy a cheap kettle, that'll probably last at least a year, for less than a tenner.

    This one is over £60.

This one boils 1.5 litres of water (to it's max level marker) in just over 3 and a half minutes. Yes. I timed it - if you paid over £60 for a kettle, you'd want to make sure that it was at least half-decent in doing it's job too.... :)

It looks good, isn't as big as it looks in the picture (although that could just be my perception), is reasonably quiet and switches itself off quickly enough once it's boiled.

It pours easily without dripping, which is what you'd expect of any kettle, but it turns out some of them don't.....apparently.

I based my purchase on other reviews and took a bit of a gamble to be honest. Really glad I did.

The lid is a secure (read quite tight) fit. There is no insulation on the case, so it does get hot, unlike some other kettles which are 'cool' to the touch during use - and that really is the only thing that I think could make this kettle any better.

    >>>Do not buy until you've read this review.<<<
