Unfortunately I decided it was too much hassle to send it back so I've kept it and will just live with it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The kettle wobbles on the base, its quite noisy and seems to stay boiling for ages. There's nothing quick about it, I'm sure I read it was supposed to be rapid boil.
The lid doesn't fit properly so you have to get the angle completely right when pouring or you have water coming out the edge of the lid and i don't like the very round spout.
The only thing that is good about this kettle is that it looks nice.

Boils quickly, easy to see water quantity. Looks good. Other comments have been about plastic taste of water, I always used a water filter jug and this hasn't happened.
