4.0 Out Of 5 Stars (8 Customer Reviews)Reviews for Prestige Stainless Steel Kettle, 1.7 L (Kitchen & Home) this kettle is very eye catching, the top flips up with ease and is very accessable, for cleaning and filling with water, it looks well made, and has a nice finish.
Reviews for Prestige Stainless Steel Kettle, 1.7 L (Kitchen & Home) Having read some negative reviews before buying, I was a little apprehensive. Some criticised the lid as being flimsy or dangerous. My experience is that, whilst the lid may indeed be the weaker part, I have had no problems with it being loose nor no more dangerous than any hot kettle. I am very impressed by the overall quality. As others have said, it compliments the Magimix toaster perfectly. I have been using it now for about a month and am very pleased with it. I would certainly buy another and indeed, because of the reasonable price, may do so to keep in reserve.
The only negative comment has nothing to do with the kettle but with Amazon's packaging. As is a common problem, the kettle was packed in a box which was too big with inappropriate internal protection and as a result the box was damaged and the kettle had 2 very small dents on the top curved part. As these were small and hardly noticeable I didn't pursue the matter. Fortunately the kettle was for my own use and not intended as a present.
Reviews for Prestige Stainless Steel Kettle, 1.7 L (Kitchen & Home) I was very pleased by the appearance of this item but after a week or so of use I noticed that steam escaped from the back of the lid when I poured water out of it. The only way to avoid a nasty steam burn was to hold the handle in the middle. Then, a couple of weeks later, steam started escaping from the top of the handle. I will be buying another kettle.
