WHAT I LIKE:
Seems a solid build & has a good base & cord.
Easy to fill through the spout without having to open the lid.
Has a large comfortable handle, & the ON/OFF switch is located on the handle.
Quick boil with hidden element (3000 watts), & boil dry protection.
No noiser than other kettles I have had.
Removable limescale filter that can be washed or replaced.
Lights up a nice blue/purple colour when switched on.
Very easy to see how much water is in the kettle - measures up to 6 cups (1.5L).
Easy to clean with a damp cloth, & no funny taste when first used.
Whistle option (doesn't sound like a traditional whistle).
Register online and get a free extra years guarantee, (2 years in total).
The price was reasonable. Comes with full instructions, & was well packaged.
WHAT I DISLIKE:
Small amounts of steam escape from around the lid - need to be careful.
The lid can be tricky to open, until you get used to it.
When the lid is opened small water droplets can spill around the ON/OFF switch.
With the wide spout I don't think pouring too quickly would be wise.
Despite being good, the overall finish could be of higher quality, e.g, the lid fitting.
It took 13 DAYS to deliver in November, not ideal when you are without a kettle.
I wanted a kettle that performs well, looks ok, lasts a long time & at a reasonable price. I read a large number of customer reviews on a few websites & no single kettle was liked by everybody. I believe this kettle had the most favourable reviews overall & that is why I chose it.

Good water level indication.
Good filling characteristics. Does not leave water on the floor.
Good audio indication when boiling. (Would preferred to play a tune). Then not everyone would like every tune. You cannot have everything. At least I can enquire of 'er if she has made the tea yet!
Lid is secure but must be handled carefully when the contents are very hot.
To the professional observer of form and shape, it is pleasing but not outstanding.
